siRNA in Dermatological Applications

Dr. Qi Tang is currently an Assistant Professor at UMass Chan Medical School. He earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Rhode Island. He then joined UMass Chan as a postdoctoral fellow, working with Dr. Anastasia Khvorova and Dr. John E. Harris on developing therapeutic siRNAs for the treatment of skin diseases. In 2025, Dr. Tang established his own lab at UMass Chan, focused on developing therapeutic oligonucleotides for dermatological applications, a field where effective treatments remain largely unmet.
