Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Scientist/Senior Scientist to lead ADME, pharmacokinetics (PK), biodistribution, and bioanalytical activities for oligonucleotide therapeutics. The successful candidate will support programs from discovery through preclinical development by generating PK/PD, biodistribution, and translational data that inform candidate selection and IND-enabling studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and interpret PK and ADME studies for oligonucleotide therapeutics in rodent and non-rodent models.
- Characterize tissue distribution, metabolism, protein binding, and exposure in hepatic and extrahepatic tissues.
- Establish PK/PD relationships to support candidate optimization, dose selection, and translational modeling.
- Lead preclinical proof-of-concept studies for targeted oligonucleotide platforms, including antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates (AOCs).
- Develop and validate bioanalytical assays for oligonucleotide quantification in plasma and tissues using techniques such as qPCR, hybridization assays, and LC-MS/MS.
- Support biomarker strategies, regulatory compliance, and GLP-aligned activities where appropriate.
- Collaborate with biology, chemistry, and bioconjugation teams to advance oligonucleotide programs.
- Contribute to IND-enabling studies, regulatory documentation, and external CRO management.
Qualifications & Experience
- PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years (Scientist) or 8 years (Senior Scientist) of experience in preclinical development of oligonucleotide therapeutics.
- Expertise in PK study design, ADME evaluation, tissue biodistribution, and bioanalytical platforms such as qPCR, hybridization assays, and LC-MS/MS.
- Experience supporting in vivo evaluation of targeted oligonucleotides and extrahepatic delivery approaches.
- Strong understanding of PK/PD relationships, biodistribution, and translational strategies for candidate selection.
- Experience in metabolic disease models and oligonucleotide therapeutics is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated project leadership, CRO management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, scientific rigor, and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary research environment.
- This position is based in Singapore. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate to Singapore.
