Dr. Fritz Eckstein Mid-Career Achievement Award

The Dr. Fritz Eckstein Mid-Career Achievement Award recognizes a mid-career scientist who has made a distinguished contribution to the field of nucleic acids therapeutics.
Eligibility Requirements
- Education & Experience: Hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree.
- Professional Standing: Be an independent scientist with 10–20 years of experience, currently holding the rank of Associate or Full Professor (or an equivalent senior industry role).
- Exclusions: Self-nominations and previous award winners are not eligible.
- Meeting Attendance: Must attend the current year’s Annual Meeting to present a research talk.
- Research Activity: Be actively engaged in research at the time of the award.
Nomination Package
The primary nominator is responsible for submitting a single dossier containing:
- Cover Letter: A formal nomination statement (max 3,000 characters).
- Curriculum Vitae: An abbreviated CV for the nominee (max 3 pages).
- Selected Publications: A list of up to 10 key publications relevant to the award.
- Letters of Support: Up to three additional letters endorsing the candidate.
Recipient receives:
- $2,000 USD award
- Complimentary registration to the OTS Annual Meeting
- Formal presentation of the award at the OTS Annual Meeting
