Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Scientist with expertise in bioconjugation and targeted delivery to support the development of ligand-oligonucleotide conjugates (LOCs) for extrahepatic RNA delivery. The successful candidate will design, synthesize, characterize, and optimize LOCs for selective delivery to tissues such as muscle, adipose, and ocular targets while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to advance RNA therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute conjugation strategies to develop LOCs with improved tissue-selective delivery.
- Perform hands-on synthesis, purification, and analytical characterization of LOCs.
- Collaborate with oligonucleotide chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to evaluate LOC performance in vitro and in vivo.
- Support CRO management, reagent sourcing, and experimental execution.
- Maintain high standards of data quality, reproducibility, and scientific documentation.
- Contribute to innovation, intellectual property generation, publications, and patent filings.
- Communicate scientific findings through reports, presentations, and project reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Organic/Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field.
- 2–6 years of industry experience in bioconjugation, targeted delivery systems, LOCs, ADCs, PDCs, or related modalities.
- Hands-on experience with conjugation technologies, including click chemistry, lysine/cysteine coupling, enzymatic ligation, and stimuli-responsive linkers.
- Experience with purification techniques such as HPLC, affinity, ion-exchange, size-exclusion chromatography, and tangential flow filtration.
- Strong knowledge of analytical characterization methods, including LC-MS, CE-SDS, DSC, HIC, and NMR.
- Experience working with CROs and cross-functional project teams.
- Demonstrated scientific contributions through patents, publications, IND filings, or related achievements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary research environment.
- This position is based in Singapore. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate to Singapore.
