Position Overview

We are seeking an innovative Scientist/Senior Scientist in RNA Analytical Development to establish and execute analytical strategies across multiple RNA modalities, including mRNA, ASOs, siRNAs, and gRNAs. The successful candidate will develop scalable, phase-appropriate analytical workflows to support platform development, product quality, and translational research programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement analytical characterization strategies for RNA raw materials, drug substances, and drug products.
  • Establish analytical workflows using techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, CE, qPCR, DLS, and TEM.
  • Apply Quality by Design (QbD) principles to define critical quality attributes (CQAs) and ensure method robustness and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product and process development.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, validation plans, and analytical documentation in compliance with regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain data integrity and traceability through LIMS/ELN systems.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
  • Stay current with emerging analytical technologies and regulatory developments in RNA therapeutics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years (Scientist) or 8 years (Senior Scientist) of analytical development experience in nucleic acid therapeutics within pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with purification technologies, including HPLC, ion-exchange, affinity, hydrophobic interaction, size-exclusion chromatography, and tangential flow filtration.
  • Strong expertise in analytical characterization techniques such as LC-MS, LC-HRMS, CE-SDS, DSC, HIC, and NMR.
  • Experience developing LC-MS workflows for characterization and QC of oligonucleotides and conjugated RNA therapeutics.
  • Experience establishing automated, high-throughput analytical capabilities is desirable.
  • Familiarity with analytical method validation, CMC documentation, and IND-enabling development activities.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • This position is based in Singapore. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate to Singapore.
