Dr. Fritz Eckstein Mid-Career Achievement Award

The Dr. Fritz Eckstein Mid-Career Achievement Award recognizes a mid-career scientist who has made a distinguished contribution to the field of nucleic acids therapeutics.
Eligibility Requirements
- Education & Experience: Must hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree conferred at least 15 years prior to the nomination deadline.
- Professional Standing: Must be an independent scientist currently holding the rank of Associate or Full Professor (academia) or an equivalent senior position in industry.
- Research Activity: Candidates must be actively engaged in research at the time of the award.
- Engagement: The recipient must attend the current year’s Annual Meeting to present a research talk.
- Exclusions: Self-nominations and prior award winners are not eligible.
Nomination Package
The primary nominator is responsible for submitting a single dossier containing:
- Cover Letter: A formal nomination statement (max 3,000 characters).
- Curriculum Vitae: An abbreviated CV for the nominee (max 3 pages).
- Selected Publications: A list of up to 10 key publications relevant to the award.
- Letters of Support: Up to three additional letters endorsing the candidate.
Recipient receives:
- $2,000 USD award
- Complimentary registration to the OTS Annual Meeting
- Formal presentation of the award at the OTS Annual Meeting
